WORKING WITH BABIES AND MOTHERS
– IN PERSON OR ONLINE

WITH IAN WRIGHT BSc.(OST), DPO, FSCCO

AND MARY BOLINGBROKE BSc.(OST)

* 26TH-29TH SEPTEMBER 2024 *

This very practical four-day workshop is designed to equip Craniosacral practitioners to effectively work with babies, mothers and pregnancy in clinical practice. We will focus on cranial paediatrics and pregnancy care from an integrative viewpoint embracing biodynamic and other models. Each lecture will have corresponding practical sessions, that serve to enhance practical knowledge, skills and understanding whilst deepening our relationship to the Tide. Open to all Craniosacral Therapists and Cranial Osteopaths.

This seminar can be taken in-person in London or online, with plenty of time for practical explorations. Video recordings will be available for review.

The following topics will be explored:

  • conception and fertility; learning ways to evaluate and support fertility.
  • biodynamic embryology and learning how to engage with embryonic fields.
  • factors affecting normal and abnormal embryonic development.
  • in-depth care of the mother throughout pregnancy, in preparation for birth and post partum, also focusing on managing specific issues in pregnancy.
  • the mechanics and effects of both normal and abnormal deliveries on the newborn, including exploring the effects of shock on both baby and mother.
  • bonding, breast-feeding adaptations and lactation physiology.
  • the neonate in relation to the effects of birth, evaluating feeding difficulties, and treating colic and reflux.
  • newborn emotional and relational fields.
