This renowned four-day workshop takes place in London, and can also be attended live on Zoom. It explores human prenatal development and how the shaping of the body expresses essential attributes of human spiritual development. Practitioners have found that comprehending embryological forces supports a holistic approach to healthcare because the same forces that formed the body are continuously at work throughout life, carrying the blueprint of health into our cells and tissues. Topics covered will include:

• THE UNDIVIDED EMBRYO: where do we come from?; understanding the incarnating embryo; the speech of the embryo; the embryo in us.
• THE POLARITY EMBRYO: in the beginning; heaven and earth; the Breath of Life between chaos and cosmos; the first week – organism and wholeness versus cellularity with differentiation and organization; the two-fold embryo.
• THE THREEFOLD EMBRYO: the vegetative embryo – interaction and innerness; from heaven to earth – individuation and incarnation; the incarnation process of the heart; fascia & blood as dimensions of mediation & innerness; the rhythmic segmentation of the body; form, rhythm and cycle.
• THE UNIVERSAL EMBRYO: the psychosomatic embryo; four ways of being; the embryology of freedom – man as equilibrium between heaven and earth; the evolving embryo.

Course tutor:

Jaap van der Wal Ph.D. is a medical doctor and associate professor of Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Maastricht, Holland. After his medical education in 1973 he specialised in functional anatomy. He then taught Philosophy of Science and Medical Anthropology, and developed a passion for human embryology. He teaches at Craniosacral Therapy, Osteopathy and other body-mind institutes around the world, and regularly presents his findings at conferences.
