2001-2005 BREATH OF LIFE CONFERENCES
The 3rd Breath of Life Conference was held on 28th & 29th May 2005
The Conference featured the following presentations:- Gerda Boyesen: “Between Psyche and Soma: The Realm of Biodynamic Psychology”. Eminent clinical psychologist, Reichian Analyst and founder of Biodynamic Psychology and Psychotherapy, author of several books and articles on mind-body therapy.
- Mike Boxhall: “Revelation – Intellect or Intelligence?” Craniosacral therapist, former chair of the Craniosacral Therapy Association UK and international teacher of the popular ‘Working With Insecurity’ and ‘Working With Spirit’ series of seminars.
- H. H. the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa: “Teachings of the Medicine Buddha: Spiritual Dimensions in Health and Healing”. Supreme head of the Drukpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the most distinguished Buddhist teachers of our time. Head of over 300 monasteries and nunneries across the Himalayas and various humanitarian projects.
- Hugh Milne: “The Little Wind (Nilch’i Hwii Siziinii) – Cross-Cultural Reflections on The Tide”. Craniosacral therapist, osteopath and naturopath, leading international teacher of ‘visionary’ craniosacral therapy, and author of The Heart of Listening Vols 1 & 2.
- Dr Marshall Rosenberg: “Deep Breathing for the Spirit: Healing with Nonviolent Communication”. Psychologist and developer of ‘Nonviolent Communication’ and author of the best-selling book of the same name. Founder of the Center For Nonviolent Communication, an international non-profit organisation with projects in over 30 countries.
- Babette Rothschild: “The Dualism of Empathy: The Benefits and Risks of Resonance”. Psychotherapist, author of The Body Remembers: The Psychophysiology of Trauma and Trauma Treatment and The Body Remembers Casebook, and pioneer of ‘Somatic Trauma Therapy’.
- Dr Michael Shea: “The Speech of the Embryo”. Leading international teacher of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, and author of Somatic Psychology and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy – A Primer.
The 2nd Breath of Life Conference was held on 24th & 25th May 2003
The Conference featured the following presentations:- Sally Goddard Blythe: “A Balanced Life – A Tapestry of Reflexes”. Expert in the field of primitive brain reflexes and developmentally related learning difficulties, director of The Institute for Neuro-Physiological Psychology and author of A Teacher’s Window into the Child’s Mind and Reflexes, Learning and Behaviour.
- Dr Mae Wan Ho: “Organisms are Made of Water”. Physicist and leading researcher into the physics of living organism, director of the Institute of Science and Society, editor of Science in Society magazine and author of the international best-sellers The Rainbow and the Worm and Genetic Engineering: Dream or Nightmare?
- Richard Holding: “The Primary Respiratory Mechanism, Memory and Neurotransmitters”. Cranial osteopath, kinesiologist and international teacher who studied with Dr Rollin Becker and other pioneers on the cranial osteopathic tradition.
- Babette Rothschild: “Making Trauma Therapy Safer”. Psychotherapist, international teacher of trauma therapy, and author of The Body Remembers: the Psychophysiology of Trauma and Trauma Treatment.
- Rupert Sheldrake: “The Extended Mind: Recent Experimental Evidence”. Biologist and author of more than 60 papers in scientific journals. His books include A New Science of Life, The Presence of the Past, Seven Experiments that Could Change the World, the award-winning Dogs that Know When their Masters are Coming Home and the recently published, The Extended Mind.
- Franklyn Sills: “Consciousness, Embodied Forces and the Fluid Field”. Co-founder and Director of the Karuna Institute, pioneering teacher of Craniosacral Therapy and Core-Process Psychotherapy and author of Craniosacral Biodynamics Vols 1 & 2 and The Polarity Process.
- Maura Sills: “The Benediction of Presence (The Hard Work Miracle)”. Founding Director of the Karuna Institute, which offers Core Process Psychotherapy as a masters degree. This training is based on a Buddhist understanding of human nature.

Chairman of the International Cranial Association (formerly Cranial Osteopathic Association), Chairman of the British Acupuncture Council, former Dean of the College of Osteopaths.
- Peter Levine: “From Trauma to Awakening to Flow”. Director of the Foundation for Human Enrichment and author of Waking the Tiger.
- Dr Michel Odent: “New Reasons and New Ways to study Birth Physiology”. Obstetrician, pioneer of natural childbirth, founder of the Primal Health Research Centre and author of The Scientification of Love and Birthing Normally.
- Dr Michael Shea: “Biomythology of the Embryo and the Breath of Life”. Director of the International School of Somatic Cranial Work and author of Somatic Cranial Work and Somatic Psychology.
- Franklyn Sills: “The Breath of Life and the Inherent Treatment Plan”. Co-founder and Director of the Karuna Institute, Devon and author of The Polarity Process and the forthcoming book Craniosacral Biodynamics.
- Maura Sills: “The Relational Field and Interconnectedness”. Co-founder and Director of the Karuna Institute and developer of Core Process Psychotherapy.
