STILLNESS AND FORM

Stillness is at the heart of the healing process. In the same way that eskimos have many words for snow, craniosacral practitioners describe many types of stillness. This advanced seminar will explore different levels of stillness, and find new ways to make these part of our cellular experience. We will focus on letting go, letting things be and finding space. There will be ample time for table work, reflection and meditation.
Areas explored will include:
- the state of balanced mind
- three dimensional awareness of the three bodies: physical body, fluid body and tidal body
- floating/suspension and coherent function of the three bodies
- health as dynamic stillness and primary respiration
- orienting to the stillness of the midline in the centre of the listening field
- Dr Sutherland's principle of "idling"
- EV4 from the scapulae
- stillpoint and autonomic activation
- ignition at the third ventricle, CV3 and EV3
- the seven levels of stillpoint
- Big Potency and little potency, transmutation and embodied forces
- the fiery nature of the "Big Potency"
- the embryological enfoldment of form within space
- embryological seams as areas of dynamic stillness
- letting go into stillness and doing nothing
- orienting to 'rhythmic balanced interchange'
- the infinite potential of dynamic stillness.
Course Tutor
Michael Kern is a Craniosacral Therapist, Osteopath and Naturopath with a practice in London. He has been teaching Craniosacral Therapy since 1987 and is a leading international exponent of the biodynamic approach, regularly running courses in Italy, Switzerland, Russia and Spain. He is co-founder of the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust, a senior tutor for the College of Osteopaths, the International Cranial Association, the Centre for Professional Development in Osteopathy and the University of Westminster. He is also author of the visionary book 'Wisdom In The Body - The Craniosacral Approach To Essential Health', now available in eight languages.

THE MIDLINE AND THE MIDDLE WAY

KIENTALERHOF IS A BEAUTIFUL VENUE, STUNNINGLY LOCATED IN THE ALPS SERVING DELICIOUS MACROBIOTIC FOOD
This seminar will help practitioners to deepen into their experience of the midline as a therapeutic organising principle and of the vertebral column and it's interconnections. We will explore biodynamic treatment skills for working with the different aspects of midline function and learn advanced skills to work with the spine. An emphasis will be placed on the re-establishment of the original intention of cells and tissues via an appreciation of the Breath of Life, its midline dynamics and embryological organising forces. There will be ample time for table work, reflection and meditation.

- The significance of the quantum midline
- The stillness of the midline
- The midline in everything
- Dural tube dynamics and the core link
- Embryological development of the spine
- Vertebral dynamics and embryological sclerotomes

- The embryological fluid fields of the spine
- Facilitated segments - working with somato-visceral and viscero-somatic patterns
- 'Uncoiling the snake'
- The umbilicus, relational midline and birth ignition
- Finding balance between heaven and earth
- Being everything and nothing
- The 'middle way' as a therapeutic principle.
