Workshop for craniosacral practitioners

Experiential movement practice enables us to delve into the movement gestures and formative processes that we perform from conceptus through being an embryo and into adulthood. Our experience of these movement processes forms the foundation of the expression of ourselves as individuals. By entering into movement exercises we encounter our felt experience of something that we have all performed uniquely as individuals, whilst holding that this is shared territory common to us all. This one-day workshop is offered for practitioners to experience and embody the formative motions that inform Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy practices. Cultivating an awareness of these gestures in ourselves and our clients, we can sense and feel more of their presence and applicability in the unfolding of session work. In the context of exploring tissues, fluids and potency, this one-day workshop will focus on:

  • The fluid and ventral midlines as organisational axes
  • Fluid motion within the tissue field as a gateway to the suspensory nature of the fluid and tidal bodies.

Guided movement meditations will bring the three-dimensional body into awareness by journeying through axial, off centre and horizontal planes and will include hands on listening whilst moving. Moving in the witness presence of another shifts something; it provides feedback about how it is to be seen and held, in movement and stillness. A table session will enable this groundwork to inform our hands-on practice and integrate these experiences. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and be prepared to work on the floor.
